I more specialized trailer than a flatbed or step deck, but still a common trailer.  A double drop or lowboy trailer is generally designed with rgn (removable goose neck) capability for easy drive on drive off of excavators and other large drivable equipment. A major advantage of this trailer type is it can legally carrier something approaching 12′ high.
